The Devonshire Arms is a 17th-century coaching inn on the 30,000-acre Bolton Abbey Estate in the Yorkshire Dales, owned by the Devonshire family. With antiques, chandeliers and a kitchen garden, it's a beautifully relaxed setting for a country wedding.
With over 15 years of experience and a place on Devonshire Hotels' recommended supplier list, we work with the venue's team on timings, layouts and access, so everything is in place before your guests arrive.

Cavendish Room
A panelled suite with a built-in dance floor, private bar and access to the kitchen garden. Chiavari chairs, charger plates and lush centrepieces suit it perfectly.
17–30 guests
Clifford Room
A classic room with antiques and chandeliers, lovely for intimate wedding breakfasts. Low centrepieces and crisp linen keep it elegant.
Up to 20 & 12 guests
Hartington & Barden Rooms
Bright, interconnecting rooms for the smallest celebrations and elopements, with a beautifully dressed table.
The Fell & Cavendish Pavilion
Across the estate
The Bolton Abbey Estate also offers weddings at The Fell Hotel in Burnsall and riverside at the Cavendish Pavilion. We're happy to style those too.
