A Canalside City Wedding
Monochrome Styling by the Water
The DoubleTree by Hilton Leeds City Centre sits on the canal at Granary Wharf, a few minutes' walk from Leeds station. Its function room has floor-to-ceiling windows looking straight out over the water and the narrowboats, which makes a striking backdrop for a city wedding.
For this wedding we styled the ceremony and the wedding breakfast in the same room, in crisp white, black and silver. A gypsophila archway framed the canal view behind the top table, with soft gypsophila flower bombs carrying the look through to every guest table.

What We Used
A monochrome scheme of white, black and silver, softened with clouds of gypsophila.
The Ceremony
Rows of white chair covers finished with black organza bows, an ivory aisle runner, and gypsophila flower bombs on clear Perspex plinths marking the start of the aisle.
The Top Table
Our gypsophila archway against the canal-view windows, a flowing black chiffon runner with white roses and gypsophila in bud vases, and silver beaded charger plates with black napkins.
The Guest Tables
Tall gypsophila flower bomb centrepieces on slim black stands, keeping sightlines clear, with silver charger plates and black napkins at every place and chair covers with charcoal sashes.
