Edwardian Grandeur, Styled Your Way
The Grand was built in 1906 as the headquarters of the North Eastern Railway, and today it's a five-star hotel just inside York's city walls. Its wedding rooms keep their original character, with wood panelling, parquet floors, ornate fireplaces and views of York Minster and the City Walls.
We've styled ceremonies in The Grand Boardroom, framing the fireplace with a blossom arch and lining the aisle with ivory blossom trees and sage chair drapes. With over 15 years of experience, we work with the hotel's wedding team on timings and access, so everything is in place before your guests arrive.

The Grand Boardroom
Wood panelling, parquet floors and chandeliers, with views of York Minster and the City Walls. A blossom arch over the fireplace, blossom trees along the aisle and dressed Chiavari chairs make a stunning ceremony, and charger plates and tall centrepieces suit the wedding breakfast.

The Chairman's Suite
Once the office of the Chair of the North Eastern Railway, with wood-clad pillars and an ornate fireplace. Low, lush centrepieces, crisp linen and dressed chairs keep an intimate wedding elegant.
